Necrons

I've got a squad of Necrons that I want to paint up, I think they look cool.

Currently just finishing up the test model before I do the whole squad.

Painting the Test Model

Assemble the model
Apply some milliput to the base to give it some lumps and bumps for later.
Using Modge Pogde glue, apply basing sand and rocks to texture the base.
Prime the whole model with a black model primer
Heavy drybrush Leadbelcher onto the whole model
Basecoat the base with Dryad Brown
Paint in the gun bits and the central symbol in Matt Black
Apply Nuln Oil to the inner joints of the skeleton and the base
Paint the armour, the weapon blades and the chest symbol with silver
Paint the wires, the eye sockets and the underlayer of the energy glow with Alien Purple
Paint second layer of the energy glow with Hexed Violet. This will be the balls of the weapon and the edges that are hit by the light.
Paint final layer of the energy glow and the eyes with Kraken Lavender.
Flock and rim the base

Painted over all the armour and the blades on the guns with silver

Painted the energy areas with Alien Purple

Painted the energy glow with Hexed Violet

I've not actually finished painting the test model yet lol, just keeping the website up to date so that I can remember how I painted it when it's time to do the whole squad.
